St. Luke's Clinic – Idaho Endocrinology: Boise

Our team diagnoses and treats disorders of the endocrine system which is responsible for regulating hormones. We specialize in metabolic diseases such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, parathyroid disorders, conditions affecting the pituitary and adrenal glands, and other conditions such as osteoporosis and cholesterol disorders.

    Biography

    Richard B. Christensen, MD serves as the medical director of Humphreys Diabetes Education Center. Dr. Christensen completed residency training in internal medicine at the University of Washington. He then pursued five years of advanced fellowship training, research, and teaching in endocrinology and metabolism at the University of Washington before entering practice in Boise.

    Biography

    Sherwin D'Souza, MD enjoys various aspects of endocrinology, and has a special interest in diabetes, lipid disorders, and cardiometabolic disease. 

    Dr. D'Souza is a fellow of the American College of Endocrinology, a diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Lipidology, and has passed the European Board of Examination for Endocrinology. He is currently the medical director at St. Luke's Endocrinology and Humphreys Diabetes Center. In addition, he has served as medical director of the Physician Assistant Program at Idaho State University in Meridian. 

    In his spare time he enjoys running, hiking, traveling and spending time with his family.

    Kylee Graef, PA-C, is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She earned both her bachelor's degree in dietetics and her master's degree in physician assistant studies from Idaho State University.

    Daniel Lefler, PA-C earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from Grand Valley State University. He earned his master's degree in physician assistant studies from Idaho State University. Before becoming a physician assistant he worked as a park ranger for the National Park Service.

She earned her master's degree in physician assistant studies from Oregon Health & Science University. Before becoming a physician assistant she worked as a nursing assistant and phlebotomist.

    Stacie Woods, PA-C, BC-ADM, earned her bachelor’s degree from Idaho State University in clinical laboratory science. She earned her master’s degree from University of Washington, MEDEX program in physician assistant studies. She is also board certified in advanced diabetes management. Before becoming a physician assistant, Stacie worked as a medical laboratory scientist.
